I am currently working as a Research Fellow in the Department of Telematic Systems Engineering (DIT) at ETSI Telecomunicación, Technical University of Madrid (UPM- Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), Spain.
I was born in Madrid Spain, 1962. I am Assistant Professor of DIT from March 1988 till today. I received the degree of Telecommunication Engineer from the in 1986. I received the Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the UPM in 1991 working on the application of Formal Techniques to the performance evaluation of communication systems. Since 1988 i have been teaching duties in the field of Computer Science and Digital Communications at ETSI Telecomunicación
I am interested in subject related to data comunication and Formal description techniques, but have an special interest in the following research areas:
Since 1986 I have participated in several R&D ESA and EC research projects (ESPRIT, ACTS, TELEMATICS and IST programs).
Multimedia and QoS over satellite networks have been key issues in these European research projects.
