PUESTO 1

Activity: SW Architecture & Development for space systems

Period: Feb15 - Jan16

Training: Informatics or Telecommunications (Telematics) Engineer (or in his/her last year).

Functions:

- SW architecture trade-off (for ground segment systems): dimensioning, benchmarking, feasibility.

- SW development (for space equipment test benches): portability and evolution to new Operating Systems and compilers, integration of LabViewVHDL modules for Real Time requirements.

- Automatic SW generation from Matlab-Simulink / Phyton models (for space and ground segment software). Evaluation of generated code performances & benchmarking vs. standard C implementations. Compatibility of auto generated code of Space SW development standards (ECSS standards).

Knowledge/Skills:

Minimum (Knowledge on all these fields is required for the intended activity):

- Programming Languages: Java, SQL, C/C++

- Operating Systems: Linux, Windows

- Technologies: Apache Tomcat, Web Services, MySQL Cluster, Spring

- Languages: fluent English

- Skills: Team working, proactive, interest in new technologies

Additional (Knowledge on those areas would be appreciated):

- Programming Languages: Matlab-Simulink, Phyton, LabViewVHDL

- Apache technologies: Thrift, Conmons BeanUtils, Commons Collections, CXF, Geronimo, etc.

- Cryptography (e.g. AES) and Data Compresion algorithms

- Others: Distributed cache, servlet containers, HTML5

Activity: Embedded software development for space systems

Period: Feb15 - Jan16

Training: Informatics or Telecommunications (Telematics) Engineer (or in his/her last year).

Functions:

- Development of embedded SW for communication protocols and drivers (e.g. CAN, SpaceWire, SPI, 1553) for space microprocessors (i.e. LEON 3).

- Real Time Operating Systems benchmark and evaluation for embedded data processing applications.

- Benchmarking of embedded software implementation of cyphering algorithms (i.e. AES256).

- Test platform development over C/Windows 7 for space unit testing

Knowledge/Skills:

Minimum (Knowledge on all these fields is required for the intended activity):

- Programming Languages: C/C++

- Operating Systems: Linux, Windows, Real Time Operating Systems

- Technologies: embedded SW, SPARC architecture

- Languages: fluent English

- Skills: Team working, proactive, interest in new technologies
