Senior Research Fellow (Beatriz Galindo scheme)

Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM)

I am a Beatriz Galindo Senior Research Fellow in the School of Telecommunications Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), as well as a Visiting Reader at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute. Before joining UPM, I was Senior lecturer at QMUL where I coordinated their MSc in Big Data Processing.

I am interested in understanding complex distributed systems (mostly Internet applications), and engineering them to work better. e.g. Cloud applications, with elastic (dynamic) changes, that are interconnected over a network. I am also looking at (Big) large-scale distributed systems that process massive amounts of Data. In this webpage you will find references to my current research projects, and teaching activities.
