My Ann Margreth Frei Story

I work for a large defense contractor. A couple of years ago I designed the video interface for a "smart" mortar munitions prototype. It's like the "smart" bombs you saw on tv in the Persian Gulf war. The difference being instead of traveling dozens or hundreds of miles, the mortar round only goes a few miles. I worked on a video display similiar to the pictures you saw from a missles point of view right before it would blow a building into several different area codes. While I was developing the display I hooked up a VCR to the prototype to provide a video signal to work on. One guess what video tape I used to simulate a target. Yes, Ann Magreth Frei's "Magic of Style, vol I". It happened to be handy. I must have looked at that tape about 8 million times over the course of a month. I'm afraid if I ever meet her in person I'll have a sub-conscious reaction to yell, "incoming!", and dive under a desk. It's hard for me to imagine Ann without crosshairs painted on her chest.
