A zipped version of this document can be downloaded here.

Abstract :

This document includes the functional specification of the following LEVERAGE subsystems:

  • Session Management, which deals with the management of cooperative sessions and all the resources used during synchronous cooperative communications.
  • Data Conferencing, which includes all the shared applications that will be used during point to point and multipoint cooperative sessions in order to share documents between participants.
  • Media Player, which plays audio and video sequences possibly concurrently with on-going videoconference on LEVERAGE workstations.
  • Video Conference Application, which manages the videoconference on each LEVERAGE workstation.
  • Multipoint Control Unit, which manages, on a server, the conference between conventional conferencing terminals.
  • Administration and system tools, which concerns the administrative server and tools available on it to provide applications working on users workstations with system and administrative functionality.
  • Material tools, which includes the WebComplex dictionary, help module, material preparation tools and evaluation system.
