En el modelo
de seguridad de Bell-LaPadula, se define una regla de control de acceso
consistente en que un usuario no puede escribir información en un nivel
inferior a aquel en el que se encuentra. Sí puede escribir en niveles
superiores. De esta forma, la información que se maneja en un cierto nivel de
clasificación puede ascender; pero no puede descender de nivel.

model rule allowing a subject write access to an object only if the security
level of the subject is dominated by the security level of the object. Also known as the Confinement

In Star Property, a user
cannot write data to a lower classification level without logging in at that
lower classification level.
